At Windmill Care Home We provide all the necessary care and
attention for those who wish to spend their retirement in a
secure and caring atmosphere, whilst respecting their privacy
and maintaining their independence and dignity. |
Accommodation
We have a selection of comfortable bedrooms, all of which are fitted with nurse call systems, TV, telephone point and personal washing facilities. Our bright lounge offers a relaxing environment in which to watch television, listen to music or simply to sit quietly. Bathrooms are fitted with a hoist. There is a lift providing easy access to all floors.
Meals
Our attractive dining room offers a tempting and varied menu of home cooked food, freshly prepared from local produce where possible. Individual tastes are taken into consideration and all special diets are catered for.
Garden
Our garden is well-tendered, with outside seating for the summer months. It is ideal for entertaining visitors. Interested residents are welcome to help with its maintenance.
Activities
Entertainment and activities are organised on a regular basis, both in-house and by trips out. All residents are encouraged to participate, subject to their needs and abilities.
Services
Visiting services include a hairdresser, chiropodist, optician and clergy of all denominations.
Visitors
Friends and relatives are welcome to visit at any reasonable time and on any day.
Staffing
Highly trained staff are on call 24 hours a day, most of whom have or are working towards a recognised NVQ qualification. We maintain strong emphasis on training.
